  • Why is staying active really important to us?

Ask yourself a question: do you feel better after doing a workout? Do you feel more energy? I always answer these questions with a yes and I hope you too. For me, workout seems much more than just a sport. Can it also be emotional healing? I think so.

In my life, I had some periods when I wasn’t active and some periods when I was fully active. So if I compare these periods, I see a lot of differences. Yes, first of all, it is the difference in how the body looks but for me the most important is the positive change in my head and feelings. It is especially true when I have a very difficult time and the activity is always like recovery.

I am happier and more confident if I do more exercises. Once I understood it I no longer needed any additional motivation to push myself. OK I’m lying. Sometimes I still need to push myself because unwillingness to do sport is a normal thing. But if we feel the real benefit of it then it is easier to do it.

We all know these benefits of workouts:

  • Better mood
  • Improved health
  • Fitter body lines
  • Lost weight
  • Etc.

I believe if you are an active person you get these benefits. But I think something more exists.

When I work out I feel very different especially when I do yoga or dancing. I know that all activities can give us more energy and so on, but after a yoga class I feel very good mentally. It is very strange because it seems like healing or soul cleaning from the emotional side. I know that people who do yoga will understand me.

I also get very good feelings in dance classes. Maybe that’s why I have had a passion for dancing for 10 years. For me, it has always been like communication with the world (without words, only body language). So at the moment yoga and dancing are my favorite activities because they give me something more that I cannot describe in words. It’s like a passion and love but it has nothing to do with the body.

I started writing this blog because I wanted to discover more exciting activities that could give me great emotions and better quality of life. And of course to share this experience with you. Sometimes life may look grey and gloomy and it’s good to have some important tools which can help you. It can change everything, isn’t that great? These tools are available to everyone, for example, walking, jogging or any other favorite activity. 

If you can find an activity which can help you feel very good, that’s the main reason why you need to stay active. A more important question is how to find this pleasant activity. In my opinion, just try something new and see how you feel after this. It is worth trying for yourself and for better emotions in life.

I know some stories when people wanted changes in life and they started working out and a miracle happened – other life areas also changed. So that’s why I said that workouts are much more than changes in body or mood. If you want some change in your life or experience something new, a good way to get it all is to start working out.
